Vichy Aqualia Thermal Water Gel & Mineralizing Thermal Water: Review | uptherollercoaster.com

The dry winter months are just around the corner (I know, I know) but don’t you worry – I have a couple of solutions for you with the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Water Gel and Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water. Both of these products are packed with moisture for your skin without feeling heavy or over powering.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel

Starting with the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel, this beautiful moisturizer feels like water to the touch. Gel moisturizers have definitely become more popular lately, and I’ve gotta say that I’m enjoying the trend. No longer do we have to look for heavy creams for our dry skin needs!

Like most Vichy products (at least the ones I’ve tried so far), the Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel has a pretty strong scent – floral, I think? Like always, though, it doesn’t linger on the skin – but it’s definitely something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to those things.

As for the actual moisturizing properties…I love it! I’m a big fan of Vichy moisturizers in general, and this one doesn’t disappoint. My skin feels super soft after I’ve used the Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel, which contains hyaluronic acid, so I’m not surprised. My skin looooves hyaluronic acid.

Surprisingly, this feels almost like a hydration mask to me. Not necessarily for the texture of the product or anything like that (it’s not sticky like a lot of hydrating masks are), but for the after-effects. When I wake up after using this at night my skin feels so pampered and plump. I’m very eager to try the eye cream from this line now!

I actually am really looking forward to using this in the winter, especially because I am planning on heading back to the dry ol’ prairies for the holidays. My skin might just make it through the ordeal unscathed! 😉

I was less certain about the Mineralizing Thermal Water when I received it. These kinds of spritz’s are pretty common at this point and I just don’t know how much an aerosol can of water can do for my skin. It’s supposed to “make skin stronger day after day against all aggressions” (Vichy.ca) and while I haven’t seen anything strengthening or rejuvenating to my skin, it does feel very nice. Especially after using their mineral masks. It adds that little bit extra slip to the skin that makes it feels instantly soothed and quenched. It’s also very nice for hot, sticky summer days to cool down and refresh yourself.

Is it worth $13? I’m not certain. If your skin is notoriously dry I could see it being useful, or perhaps if you’re a frequent flyer it could be nice on a plane. But it’s definitely one of those treat yourself items.

Both the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Mineral Water Gel and Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water are great for helping dehydrated skin feel more quenched. I think these products could be used by any skin type and I am especially a fan of the Mineral Water Gel.

How do you keep your skin moisturized?
