Wet n Wild Balm Stain Reviews

This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.

Wet n Wild has reignited my lip crayon love again – they are just so easy to wear and the crayon format is so fun! This collection of Wet n Wild Balm Stain lippies were sent to me as part of the Steal the Look campaign and I’ve just been having a blast playing with them. (Yes, even the pink one!)

These lippies are so easy to wear with hint of colour, a wallop of moisture and a tiny bit of a stain. They don’t stain as much as the Revlon ones, so if that’s what you really like about these crayon-format lippies I would suggest sticking to Revlon’s offerings. But other than that, these beauties are just so perfect – affordable, moisturizing, fun, with great colour choices for any mood. Yep, I’m sold.

I was sent four of the six Wet n Wild Balm Stain colours and honestly, I’m a bit torn if I want to pick up the other two. The ones I’m missing are a light beigey-nude (“Nudest Colony) that I don’t think would work for my skin tone and a pinky-red (“Pinky Promise”) that actually…I do definitely want to check out. It looks like a beautiful rose that would be right up my alley. But let’s get onto the four I was sent, shall we?

First up is 127 A Stiff Pink. This is a Barbie-like bubble gum pink that has quite a bit of pigment to it and wears down to a pretty nice stain. I’m not a huge fan of pink lips, but I actually really like this one a lot!

The next Balm Stain, 126 Rico Mauve, is my absolute favourite. I’ve been wearing this mauve lippie almost every day since getting my job as it is perfect for the workplace and is super low maintenance.

Next up is 125 Red-Dy Or Not, which a slightly more pigmented dupe for Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic at a fraction of the price. The biggest difference I noticed between the two is this one doesn’t stain quite as much as Revlon’s.

Lastly is 124 Lady and the Vamp, a berry plumish colour that is so perfect for fall and winter. It’s more wearable than you’d think looking at the tube as it comes out with a slight reddish hue, making it far easier to pull off than a straight up purple. (I’m looking at you, Revlon Shameless.)

I think you can probably tell from this review that I am a big fan of the Wet n Wild Balm Stain lip crayons. They have the moisture my lips crave, but the pigment punch that my eyes need. We are going to be great friends in the coming months, I do believe.

What is your go-to lip colour of the moment?

  1. Ooh, how pretty! I’m a sucker for a good lip crayon and it’s always nice to hear about a good budget option! Loving the look of Lady and the Vamp especially- so perfect for Fall! I’m also a huge fan of Hard Candy’s chubby lip pencils- another fab option at a great price! xo
