I’m back! Kind of. I still have one more final exam tomorrow before I’m completely done, but I just couldn’t hide my adoration of the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask. This was part of my parents Christmas gift to me, but because they gave me the money to buy what I wanted I was able to pick this up before the holidays and give my poor peeling lips a much needed pamper.

The BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask comes in 4 flavours/scents – the original, champagne, smashed and maple. The maple lip mask is limited edition and only available in Canada so I was shocked when it was still available on Sephora.ca! Of course I had to have it, even though I was fully expecting to get the original one. It is very slightly tinted brown, though it doesn’t leave a colour on your lips at all. The maple scent is very strong, though, which I love. It might turn me off it was a different smell, but the maple smells like sweet, sweet happiness!

The first thing I noticed with this lip mask is how thick it is. It takes a bit of pressure to squeeze some out of the tube and it doesn’t spread the easiest over the lips. But once your lips are coated it feels like a big ol’ hug for your lips. It’s comforting, hydrating, soothing…all of the things you want in a lip treatment. My lips were peeling from too much matte lipstick (the perils of being a lipstick lover, I tell you what) when I first used this and after leaving it on overnight the peeling was gone. I’ve never experienced a lip product like this, and for a lip balm addict like myself that’s saying something!

What’s your holy grail lip balm/treatment?

  1. I’m so happy, Jodi, that you reviewed this product. Phyrra has been singing its praises for ages, and I’ve wanted to try it. I forgot to buy it during the Sephora event, but now I have a 10% off code for reaching VIB status and based on your review and Phyrra’s, I’m gonna go for it. I wish the maple flavor were available here!

  2. I just tried some of the Bite Matte Lip Crayons this month, and I think the agave lip mask is going to go on my list! My favorite lip balm is from Jack Black, but I’d love to try this because it has better ingredients.

  3. I am using my first lip treatment from Michael Todd and I am loving it. I definitely want to explore more lip things. So… I am excited to read about this product.

  4. Good luck in your final tomorrow! I haven’t tried this lip mask and reading your review makes me interested to venture more in lip mask.

  5. This looks wonderful, haven’t tried it before. My lips are always so dry especially in the winter time. I’ve been using a vitamin E scrub but i’m finding that it’s not enough. Maybe I need to give this a try. Good luck on your final exams!!!!

  6. I have a few Bite Beauty mini lippies and love them! Great formulas and colors and they don’t smell. I always hear such great things about this product and want to give this a go soon- winter cold ruins my lips 🙁 Great review!
