4 Must Have Beauty Products

Must Have Products

I will always repurchase these four beauty products!
Over the last year I have discovered a few stellar beauty products that I just can’t imagine not being in my routine. I am, funnily enough, a fairly fickle makeup lover, but once I find something in the skin and hair departments that I love I fall hard. Being so picky, I’ve only found four products that I’d say are must have beauty products – or dare I even say Holy Grail Items?

First things first, The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is the only way I will take my makeup off. Well, that or the balm version of the oil. It is far superior to any makeup removing wipe, traditional makeup remover or micellar water that I have ever tried. Even when I try to change it up I am left feeling disappointed and go right back to my trust Camomile Cleansing Oil. The oil is the type of remover that you put on your face dry, rub in until you look something akin to Heath Ledger’s Joker (especially if it was a heavy eye makeup day), add water until it emulsifies into what almost looks like a milk and then rinse off. It may seem like extra work but it’s really not. Especially if you find mascara particularly tricky to remove. It’s amazing at removing mascara.

I have one more skincare item that I can’t stay away from and it’s actually another gem from The Body Shop. The Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 is a light-weight moisturizer that is perfect for summer, though I find I have to add a few drops of facial oil in the dryer months. Because it has SPF 30 I don’t have to worry about adding another layer of SPF in the mornings…plus it smells like citrus fruit, which helps wake me up.

Must Have Products

Cleaning my brushes is one of my favourite chores – I love watching all the makeup rinse down the drain and coming out with a gunk-free brush. It’s weird, I know. But I totally credit it to Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castille Liquid Soaps. I’ve just finished up the Tea Tree one, which I enjoyed immensely, and I can’t wait to start using the Lavender one I picked up a few weeks ago. Dr. Bronner’s soaps make washing brushes so easy and the different scents make it quite enjoyable for me. Plus it doesn’t dry out the brushes, which is ideal for brush health. 👍

I’ve raved about COLAB Dry Shampoo so much that I wonder if I even need to include it in this list, but while I’m hear, why not? This is the only dry shampoo that I have used that adds the volume I crave (Extreme Volume range) or doesn’t leave an awful white cast, especially now that I’ve got purple hair (Sheer Invisible range). I’ve tried other brands, but they’re either more expensive, smell awful or just don’t work for me. I can’t ask for more from a dry shampoo, really. It’s just perfect.

  1. these products all sound amazing i understand why they are must-haves! that body shop moisturizer sounds great in particular, i love a bright citrus scent! I also love the colab shampoos, that’s the only product i’ve tried from these (so far!)

  2. I found 4 other scents of COLAB at Winners so I grabbed all of them in Volume Extreme! I’m using the scent Monaco now, but love Tokyo as well!
