REVIEW: Maybelline Color Tattoos

I have a confession – I am in love with Maybelline Color Tattoos.

Granted, I only have three shades – three beautiful, silky shades – but the more I use them, the more shades I collect, the harder I fall. So it was only fitting that I dedicate todays post to celebrating their beauty.

The Color Tattoos were the first cream eyeshadows I had ever tried and boy oh boy did they wow me. Creamy, with a pigmented, stay-all-day formula, I just can’t get enough.

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Tattoos

The first of the three is cult-favourite Bad to the Bronze. This shade isn’t quite bronze – more of a sheeny chocolate – but it is so perfect as an all over the lid colour. It has just enough dimension to it that it makes it look like you put far more work into your eye makeup than you did.

Next up, Pomegranate Punk. I was hoping for a crazy pigmented cranberry shade when I picked this up and while it wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, it has actually moved ahead of Bad to the Bronze in my favourites category. A beautiful fall shade, Pomegranate Punk is gorgeous applied in the crease with just a light dusting of a your-eyelids-but-better shade over the lid.

Last but certainly not lease is Barely Branded. This is the newest acquisition to my Color Tattoo collection and while it is certainly more sheer in comparison to it’s counterparts, it is the perfect highlight shade for in the corner of your eye or on the brow bone. It is also so stunning swiped all over the lid for those lazy days when your eyes need a bright of luminescence.
