In the past few weeks I’ve collected a few pretty exciting new goodies from Lush and Shoppers Drug Mart and I thought I’d share them with you!
Lush Herbalism Cleanser. This is an old favourite of mine which I just keep coming back to. This is one of the few products that really works for my stubborn acne and I have been so frustrated with my skin that I am very excited to get back into using this on the regular! I love that it exfoliates too and it leaves my skin feeling sooooooo smooth.
Lush Shark Fin Soap. I’ve never bough a soap from Lush before, but Dylan and I have been eyeing up this scent for a while and I just couldn’t resist. All proceeds go towards United Conservationists, a non-profit that’s dedicated to protecting sharks. I’ll be honest that I don’t really know a lot about shark protection, all I know is that shark finning is really really awful and spending $5.95 to help out an organization that wants to stop that is a-okay with me. (Plus it smells really lovely.)
Vichy Normaderm Exfoliating Cleansing Gel. I bought this before Herbalism in the hopes that it would tame my breakouts. I have heard such fantastic things about Vichy and I wanted a physical exfoliater, so I picked this guy up. It’s a cleansing gel that feels really nice and cooling against the skin with microbeads for exfoliation. This is from their acne prevention line, so I’m really hoping it works out well for me!
Wet’n’Wild Color Icon Shadow Collection in Petal Pusher. My most used eyeshadow palette is the Color Icon Shadow Collection in Comfort Zone and I’ve been really wanting to add some more colour into my eyeshadows, so I decided to try out this palette! It’s got an absolutely beautiful range of purple and pink shades and I think I will use all of these, unlike the Comfort Zone palette, where I really only use the left hand side of the palette. They seem very soft pigmented and I can’t wait to start playing around with them!
Revlon ColorStay Shadow Link in Eggplant. This is a bit of an older purchase, but I thought I would include it anyway. It was on sale at my local Shoppers Drug Mart when I picked up the Vichy Cleansing Gel and I really wanted to try some purple eyeshadows, so I decided to try out it. The idea of being able to create my own palette intrigued me and the samples I swatched seemed really pigmented so I went for it. I wish I hadn’t, to be honest – the pigmentation in this color is atrocious and it all piles up in the crease even with eye primer. Whomp whomp.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless. Ha, can you tell I’ve been feeling the purple lately? I’ve been wanting to try the Matte Balms for a while – I have one of the Just Bitten Kissable balm stains and love it, so figured I couldn’t go wrong. I’m excited for this shade because I have absolutely nothing like it and I think it’ll be amazing in the fall and winter.
Maybelline New York Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. I must be the last beauty blogger ever to try out the color tattoos, but I finally picked one up. I decided on Bad to the Bronze because so many people have raved about it and I am just loving it so far. It’s so wearable and so easy and I am sold. I have a bad feeling I’m going to be starting a collection of these babies. 😉
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Turquoise. I have two of these eyeliners already – black and brown – and adore them. They stay on all day without smudging or transferring to my crease and are super smooth to put on. I was feeling a bit of color and the blue eyeliner trend was appealing to me quite a lot, so I decided to pick up one of these. The formula is exactly the same as the black and brown and I am really loving the color – it was exactly what I was looking for!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourites?
