BVSpa by Bon Vidal Body Lotion & Body Butter

July 29, 2016

The last time I talked about BVSpa by Bon Vidal, I was talking about how wonderful their scrubs are for dealing with dry feet (and dry skin everywhere, really). Today it’s all about putting moisture back into your skin.

Rather than trying the lavender scent again (I was seriously tempted!) I asked to try the pink grapefruit and pomegranate & acai berry scents. The body lotion is pink grapefruit (did the pink package give it away?) and smells exactly like you’d think it would. I’m not a fan of the taste of grapefruit, but I like the smell of it. Especially for sleepy mornings – nothing like some citrus to wake you up!

This BVSpa lotion is light-weight and almost runny in texture. Don’t let that scare you away though – it spreads beautifully across the skin and still leaves my body feeling soft and hydrated. This is definitely a lotion that you could put on right before you get dressed – it doesn’t take long to sink in, so you won’t stick to your jeans.

As you’d expect, the body butter version of the BVSpa lotion is thicker. This has more of a whipped texture than other body butters I’ve used, so it’s not as heavy or sticky as body butters can be. The whipped texture makes it spread quickly on your skin, but it does take a little while to sink in. This one is going to get a lot of use by me in the winter! Is it weird that I’m already looking forward to it?

As mentioned, I got the BVSpa body butter in pomegranate and acai berry. I had no idea what it would smell like before I opened it, but I really love it! It’s sweet, but not in a sickly way. The scent sticks around too, which I always appreciate.

If you’re looking for an affordable body lotion or body butter, I’d highly recommend either one of these by BVSpa. I like the scents a lot (and you know I love the rosemary & lavender scent too) and the lotions themselves really quench the dryness of my skin.

    1. I like whipped lotions a bit more than body butters because it spreads easier, haha. But when I lived in Alberta where it was so dang dry I definitely had to use body butters year round too.
