I have another Canadian beauty review for you all today! Annabelle Cosmetics is one of my favourite Canadian drugstore brands – they’re great quality products for an affordable price and they’re cruelty free. I’ve recently taken the plunge to go cruelty-free in my cosmetics, so I love that one of my favourites isn’t testing on animals.
The Annabelle Cosmetics Big Show Lacquers are a cross between a liquid lipstick and a gloss. They’re super pigmented but glossy, instead of matte like a liquid lipstick. They’re incredible comfortable to wear, though can be a little sticky. I don’t mind though, because it means they stick around longer. I love wearing the lighter shades on top of other lippies for some added oomph and the darker ones on their own. The darker ones stain a bit too!
The packaging on these lacquers are quite nice. They come in a sturdy plastic tube with a metallic cap that makes it feel more luxe. The applicator is a standard doe-foot that makes application super easy.
Each of the swatches above are one swipe with the applicator one a bare arm, so you can see just how pigmented they are. The Annabelle Cosmetics Lacquers come in a nice range of colours from peachy nudes to pinks to deep berries, though I would like to see a more nude pink shade in there.
Annabelle Cosmetics Adore Simply is a shiny nude that allows the pigmentation of your lips to peek through just a little bit.
Annabelle Cosmetics Caress Tenderly is the perfect spring coral that leaves your lips feeling soft for hours.
Annabelle Cosmetics Kiss Sweetly isn’t a colour I’d normally go for, but I actually really love this mid-tone pink.
Annabelle Cosmetics Enchant Romantically is a much more me pink: it’s heading toward magenta, but not quite there yet.
Annabelle Cosmetics Love Fiercely is a beautiful red that leaves just a hint of a tint behind.
Annabelle Cosmetics Hypnotize Deeply is a purpley-berry that isn’t as dark as I thought it would be when I first saw it. But it’s probably my favourite shade of the bunch!
Do you have a favourite Canadian cosmetics brand? (Or if you’re not Canadian, what’s your favourite from your country?)
