I haven’t met a beauty blogger that doesn’t love a good mask, and the Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque is definitely that. Even if you don’t have dry or aging skin you’re going to love this!
Deodorant is one of those hygiene items that doesn’t quite feel like it belongs in the “beauty” category in my brain, but when I think about it…why would body wash or scrubs if deodorant didn’t? It’s a weird one, but I think this Zak deodorant is a good introduction into the deodorant world for Up the Rollercoaster.
Zak is a body care company based in Colorado that wants to make deodorant healthy and effective. It’s been my experience so far that deodorants can either be one or the other – either they’re natural/aluminum free/etc and not very effective, or they’re effective and have less than satisfactory ingredients. So I was mighty eager to try a new one! All while crossing my fingers that finally, I would find the holy grail of deodorants. [Read more…]
Why yes, I am featuring a tea brand other than David’s Tea! I know, weird right? When Canadian tea company T by Daniel contacted me I was so thrilled! I couldn’t wait to try their teas and see what a Canadian brand had to offer.
I have Summer Collection from T by Daniel to share with you today, which features four tasty teas. BFF Berry Fruit Fusion, a herbal tea full of elderberries and hibiscus; Limelight, a light tasting green tea with just a hint of lime; Night in Rio, a herbal tea concotion unlike any other tea I’ve tasted and Orange Creamsicle, a herbal tea that tastes exactly like you’d imagine it would.
I finished my Project Make a Dent at the beginning of the month, and I’m very happy with how much I used! I used up everything but three products, and made a decent dent in the three that remain. If you want to see the other updates you can find those here.
Just before last Halloween, I dyed my hair purple using Splat hair color, fulfilling a childhood dream of having coloured hair. I loved every minute of having purple hair and often consider going permanently violet. And now you have the chance to fulfill your brightly coloured hair fantasies too!
Splat hair color is teaming up with Suicide Squad in a fun cross promotion that makes my nerdy, beauty lover heart happy. I spent last summer reading Batman and DC Universe graphic novels, so to say that I’m looking forward to Suicide Squad would be an understatement. I could go on a huge tirade about how much I enjoy Harley Quinn in the graphic novels, or how Jared Leto’s Joker gives me the heebie jeebies, but I think I’ll leave that for Twitter. [Read more…]
It’s been a while, but I’m feeling refreshed after an unplanned break from blogging and raring to go! I missed the end of June, but it’s still time to talk about products that I’ve used up in the last month-ish.
A bit of a refresher on my rating scale:
😘 = love (repurchase)
😊 = pretty great (consider repurchasing)
😑 = indifferent (will not repurchase) [Read more…]
I’ve been trying to find a way to show you my makeup collection for about a month or so, but it’s just not easy with only photos. This is definitely one of those times where video would be easier. After watching Samantha’s video focusing on all of her purple products that I decided to do it like this. I could have very easily split up these posts via product type, but splitting it up by colour feels a bit more fun.
Now I’m not going to lie…this isn’t quite all of the bronze and gold products I have in my makeup collection. If I included every single product I feel like we’d be here all day. This is more of a curated makeup collection post.
Bronze and gold are two of my favourite colours to wear. It’s so easy to throw them on and look put together – especially when it comes to eyeshadow. It’s natural without being matte brown (which I love, but can get boring) and it can be played up when you want to be fancy. It helps me feel daring when I’m really not. 😉 [Read more…]
I’ve had the Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit in Light/Medium for just about half a year now, but I’ve only briefly talked about it. To be perfectly honest, it’s because I was struggling with the whole contour thing. No matter what I do I feel like I have a stripe across my cheeks, so I just end up feeling self-conscious. However…I’ve been playing with this kit since April and I finally feel comfortable enough sharing my thoughts on it. [Read more…]
